West Lancs Canine Centre was established in June 1989 by Guy Richardson and his wife Jean and is a family business. Their son Craig now owns and runs the centre. Dog trainers at the centre are experienced in all aspects of dog training. Craig has been training dogs for 18 years and is very experienced in all aspects of dog training. Guy is a multi award winning dog handler, trainer and dog behaviour specialist and is a member of several professional dog training organisations including the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. He has been handling and training dogs for 50 years, 35 of those years working as a full time professional. He is also the puppy training, adult dog training, dog behavioural therapist, and dog behaviour consultant for the RSPCA LIVERPOOL, MERSEYSIDE and ANIMALS IN NEED, MERSEYSIDE He is a renowned expert in dealing with inter-dog and inter-human dog aggression cases. Over the last 4 years he has assessed 170 dangerous dogs for the courts of this country, working nationwide. He is an expert witness dealing with cases where owners and their dogs find themselves the subject of civil or criminal prosecution, i.e. The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
